Focusing on Abilities
A leading Washington non-profit tells it's story through images and action...

Skills Inc. was the state of Washington's Large Non-Profit of the year in 2010. They are an incredible organization that I've had the privilege to work with for the past decade. Skills is an aerospace part manufacturer and finisher. They are also a non-profit, who assesses, trains and employes persons with disabilities. 70% of their workforce has some sort of disability. But at Skills, they like to focus on 'Abilities'...and they do this by constantly telling the inspirational stories of their team members in a very 'large format' way. Each year they do a 2-day photoshoot spread through their two manufacturing facilities. The goal of the shoot is to showcase their extremely technological, advanced and high-quality manufacturing capabilities, and to highlight individuals in their program and their stories in action. These photos are used in murals and signage throughout their facilities, and in their newsletters, event promotions and annual report each year. The following is the result of the art direction, coordination and client collaboration that went into the most recent shoot.
